Super Eagles climbed two places in the latest FIFA ranking released by the football governing body yesterday.
The Super Eagles are now ranked 38th in the world as against the 40th position in the last ranking. The team is also rated fourth best in Africa, a testament to the growth of the team since Gernot Rohr took over.
Rohr has not lost any game since he took charge and has seen Nigeria climb almost 19 places since he began his reign.
Eagles are on 730 points, four more than the previous month and can climb higher with a win against Togo and South Africa whom the team will face in June.
Egypt are top dogs in Africa and they are tailed by Senegal and current African champions Cameroon.
Brazil are the world leaders and are followed by South American rivals Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia to make the top five teams in the world.
