Barcelona coach Valverde hails 2-goal Messi for Alaves win

By Daily Sports on August 19, 2018

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was delighted with two-goal Leo Messi for victory over Alaves.

Messi scored the Blaugrana's 6,000th LaLiga goal with a sublime free-kick that went under the wall, a finish that delighted his coach, even if it didn't overly surprise him.

"He already scored a goal like that against Girona," he said.

"Leo can always surprise you, it's not usual.

"The shot he also fired against the post was masterful." (Tribal Football)
