By Daily Sports on December 8, 2018

The South American football confederation have extended an invitation to all players from that region who currently play in LaLiga Santander to attend the Copa Libertadores final second leg on Sunday. That game takes place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid between River Plate and Boca Juniors, with the first leg at La Bombonera having ended 2-2.

CONMEBOL have not yet received official confirmation on how many of those players have accepted their invitation and will attend the game.

However, one of the players who will be there is Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.

After contesting the Catalan derby against Espanyol on Saturday, he has reserved a private box in Madrid for Sunday’s game (Marca)
