Jigawa Golden Stars Settle for Kaduna for Home Games

By Anthony Obaseki on September 1, 2019

Newly promoted team to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Jigawa Golden Stars FC of Dutse have chosen the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, for their home games for the upcoming 2019/20 NPFL season.

Speaking after the management meeting at the club office, Jigawa State Director of Sports, Honourable Usman Garba Labbo, disclosed that the reason behind the decision is to meet the League Management Company’s rules and regulations of the NPFL.

“After much deliberations, we have decided to play our home games in Kaduna (Ahmadu Bello Stadium). The decision is to meet up with the League Management Company rules and regulations because, according to what they sent to us via the club’s e-mail, each stadium must have a good standard pitch, a well-sitting space for fans to watch our games because they might inform us that our home games will be live on television,” Labo stated.
