Taye Taiwo: Marseille Should Sign Osimhen And Simon

By Daily Sports on April 23, 2020

French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have been urged to sign Nigerian duo Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon by Taye Taiwo.

Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in Ligue 1 this season having netted 13 goals for Lille OSC.

While Simon has been a regular for Nantes this term and the diminutive winger has found the back of the net five times.

Nigeria international Taiwo, who was on the books of Marseille between 2005 and 2011, feels that the Olympians need players like Osimhen and Simon.

“He (Simon) really is not bad! Frankly physically he is good. When you come from Nantes to play in Marseille it’s another world,” Taiwo said on Debate Foot Marseille.

“You have to have the mentality because it’s different to play for Nantes or for Marseille. It would be nice if he came to play at OM.”

“And there is also Lille striker Victor Osimhen, he would be good for Marseille, and for him to know the pressure,” the experienced left-back added.

“Marseille need lively players like that to play on the side.”

Taiwo, 35, is currently on the books of Finnish side RoPS Rovaniemi.(African Football)
