Solomon Yola, the head coach of Kano Pillars, who were declared winners of the 2021 Prudent Energy Handball Premier league, on Wednesday, in Abuja, has said that the team would return home to start preparing for the African Championship.

“We came very well prepared for this year’s league and our target was to lift the trophy and God answered our prayers,” he said.

Yola told journalists that the team’s next target was to succeed at the African championships, while thanking God for the victory and success in this year’s league.

“The date for the championship has not been fixed, but, as a team, we will continue to work hard to represent the country at the African Championship.

”We are waiting for the Federation to tell us about the Africa Championship. We will start preparation immediately for the championship.

“We will work hard to make sure we give a good representation for the country,” he said.
