Sergio Ramos In Danger Of Missing Real Madrid Reunion As PSG Defender Suffers Muscle Injury

By Daily Sports on January 31, 2022

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Sergio Ramos could miss out on playing against Real Madrid after picking up an injury in training.

Ramos, 35, left Real after 16 years in the summer before signing for PSG.

But his move is yet to take off after spending the first few months on the treatment table overcoming a calf issue.

And according to Le Parisien, the Spaniard is struggling with his calf once again.

He reportedly has a low-grade muscle lesion on his right calf and the injury forced him to halt training on Thursday.

Ramos was missing for training on Sunday and is certain to miss the Coupe de France clash with Nice on Monday.

But perhaps more worryingly for the centre-back there are just 16 days until PSG's trip to the Bernabeu.

Ramos will be re-assessed next week but Mauricio Pochettino may avoid the risk of playing him against Real.

He has Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe to call upon and may be keen to avoid rushing Ramos back to quickly.

After all, if the veteran has suffered a flair up of his calf problem he could be out for more than just the Real tie.

It is a blow for Ramos who had just started to appear regularly - he scored his first goal for the club against Stade Reims last week.

But last month he also got up to his old tricks when he was sent off for a brutal bodycheck in just his third game for the club. (UK Sun)
