Dybala Doubtful For Next League Clash

By Daily Sports Nigeria on September 21, 2022

Despite missing out on Roma’s loss to Atalanta with a muscle issue, Paulo Dybala flew out to America to join the Argentina squad, and he could return only days before their key game against Inter.

The 28-year-old forward suffered an issue with his flexor muscle in the warm-up of the Giallorossi’s match against Atalanta on the weekend, which they went on to lose 1-0, and many expected him to remain in the Italian capital over this international break, including coach Jose Mourinho. Despite the issue, Dybala still flew out to the United States to join the Argentina camp.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Dybala will stay with Argentina until September 23 at least, when he’ll undergo a new round of medical tests. Should things come up positive, he’ll stay with the team until the 27th, when they face Jamaica in a friendly.

If this occurs, he won’t return to Italy until September 28 at the earliest, making him available for Roma training on the 29th. This would only be 48 hours before the Giallorossi’s Serie A clash with Inter, scheduled for October 1.
