Africa was buzzing worldwide last weekend after Morocco shockingly knocked out Portugal, a match aired live on NTA Sports 24 on StarTimes.

As the first African cum Arab country to reach the World Cup semi-finals, Morocco now represent so much more than its own nation as its achievements united a region and continent in celebration.

The Moroccan flag was displayed in cities all around the world on Saturday as fans celebrated the Atlas Lions’ historic 1-0 victory over Portugal.

But the battle for the final spot is even tougher. Champions France are the next opponents for Morocco, and the odds are in favour of the French, with a 63 per cent chance of winning.

But Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi appears confident of another shocking result, after sending a message to his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe.

Morocco will face France at 8pm on Wednesday on NTA Sports 24 on channel 270 on StarTimes.

Before then, Argentina will meet Croatia at 8pm on Tuesday (today), as NTA Sports 24, on channel 270 on StarTimes, will air all the remaining FIFA World Cup matches live.

The four teams are still riding high after their respective wins in the World Cup quarter-finals. Croatia will attempt to reach its second World Cup final, and Morocco are looking to continue their historic run.

The Moroccans have exceedingly surpassed expectations in Qatar, and coach Walid Regragui lauded the battling spirit of his injury-hit side.

“We’re drawing on all we have, we still have guys injured. I told the guys before the match we had to write history for Africa. I’m very, very happy,” Regragui said.
