The head coach of Remo Stars Daniel Ogunmodede has expressed delight after winning the League Bloggers Coach of The Month award in the Nigeria Professional Football League for March/April 2023.

The 42-year-old gaffer had an exceptional performance in the months in review as he led his side to an unbeaten run, which included an away win at El-Kanemi Warriors.

His effort ensured Remo amassed 13 points and edged other teams in the abridged format of the NPFL race to boost their chances of playing in the Super 6 playoffs in June.

He succeeds Bendel Insurance coach, Monday Odigie, who had been winning the awards since January.

The Remo manager took to his Twitter page to thank his backroom staff and players for their dedication and support.

“Very proud to have been named the NPFL Manager of the Month for March/April,” Ogunmodede wrote on his official Twitter account.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without my assistants and my backroom staff, players, my family and everyone at the club working towards us achieving success, I say thank you all. Together we can be better!” he added.

Ogunmodede will lead his side for their last match in the abridged season against Kwara United on Sunday in Ikenne, with the hope of booking a spot in the NPFL Super 6 playoffs.
