Abia Gov Assures On Payment Of Enyimba Players’, Coaches’ Backlog Of Salaries

Respite has come the way of Eyimba players and coaching staff as Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has promised to clear their salaries and allowances .

The players and the coaches have not received monthly stipends for the past four months.

Otti made the announcement at the reception organised for the team for winning the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier League title on the night of Thursday, 29 June, 2023 at the Government House In Umuahia.

The state number one citizen, however, failed to announce a monetary gift for the team.

Otti promised to compensate the team for their successful campaign in the NPFL in due course.

Enyimba will compete in the Naija Super 8 playoffs in Lagos next week.
