SWAN President Loses Father

The death has occured, of the father of the  President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Isaiah Kemje Benjamin, Pa Isaiah Boyi Isreal, in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to a statement signed by his media aide, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the sad event occured in the early hours of Monday September 25, 2023.
SWAN President who is currently on national assignment to the National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba, Delta State, informed that the burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
He explained that arrangements have been made to convey his remains to a mortuary. 
Among those who paid early  condolences to him in Asaba, are Kaduna SWAN Chairman, Shehu Abdullahi, FCT Chairman, Ndubueze Chidoka, North West Vice President, Mohammed Mansour Ibrahim, Financial Secretary, Ijeoma Peter Nwante, Welfare Secretary, Austin Ajayi, Kwara State Secretary, Dare Kuti and SWAN members from Kaduna State, Albert Solomon and Bashir Bello Dollars. 
Also spotted at the condolence visit, was SWAN Vice President South East, Frankie Omokhua and the Secretary General of the association, Ikenna V. Okonkwo.
Pa ISAIAH passed on at the age of 92 in Lando Bassa local government of Kogi State. 
He is survived by his wife,  seven children, brothers,  sisters, grand children and great grand child.
