JUST IN: Osimhen could sue Napoli over TikTok video – Agent

By Daily Sports Nigeria on September 27, 2023

Nigerian Striker, Victor Osimhen, could take legal action against Napoli after the Italian club posted a video “mocking” him on their official Tik Tok according to the player’s agent, Roberto Calenda.

PUNCH reports that Nigerians on social media were left disappointed with the video (already pulled down) which came after the striker missed a late penalty in the Naples-based club’s last 0-0 draw against Bologna on Sunday.

Calenda in a statement released on Tuesday described the video as unacceptable.

The statement read, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”

Osimhen joined Napoli from French Lille Metropolin 2021 for a club-record fee of €70 million potentially rising to €80 million with add-ons.

He helped the Neopolitans to their first Scudetto title in over three decades scoring a staggering 26 goals and finishing as the league’s top scorer.
