Red-hot Obasi continues scoring run for AIK

Chinedu Obasi’s strike after 83 minute of AIK’s Swedish topflight encounter versus Oestersunds continued a remarkable record of goals for the Nigeria international.

Alexander Isak’s goal after 10 minutes gave Rikard Norling’s team the lead in the 10th minute as they led with a slim margin at half time.

And his goal seven minutes from full time guaranteed his team maximum points, though he was substituted in the closing seconds of the game by Eero Markkanen.

Obasi has now found the net in four successive games for the Friends Arena giants – with his recent the sixth of the season.

The victory takes AIK to second position with 53 points, seven short of leaders Malmoe FF with 70 points.

The Nigeria would be hoping to make it five goals at a bounce when his team travel to Gamla Ullevi, Gothenburg for a date with IFK Gothenburg on October 24. (goal.com)
