The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after reconciling the warring factions of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has emphatically declared that Prince Vincent Okumagba remains the national chairman, as election into the National Executive Committee holds on December 10, 2016.

This was one of the highlights of the reconciliation meeting presided over by Bola Oyeyode, Ag. Chairman, NFF Reconciliation Committee in the board room of the federation in Abuja last week.

The Chairman of the board of Trustees in conjunction with the NFF Reconciliation Committee will coordinate the process leading to the election, while the Electoral Committee is independent of both parties.

The meeting was called to bring the two factions led by Prince Vincent Okumagba and Dr.Rafiu Ladipo together to iron out their differences and reach cordial meeting point that would give life back to the body as one indivisible voice carrying out its functions for the national teams.

In the communiqué issued after the meeting signed by Oyeyode, Ladipo and Okumagba both leaders agreed to work together for the good of the game and love for the father land. They also pledged to abide by all the points reached at the peaceful meeting and vowed to ensure they are adequately nourished to fruition.

It was agreed that the congress of the NFSC should reverse the impeachment and suspension of the national chairman, Prince Okumagba. The constitution of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club should be amended to be more inclusive and more embracing; and that the office of the President General and Deputy President General will become vacant in July, 2017.
