Why Arsenal loanee Nwakali is not a regular yet- coach

By Daily Sports on November 23, 2017

VVV Venlo coach, Maurice Steijn, has said that Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali is yet to be a regular in his side because he is still learning the way of the club.

Nwakali has only managed 228 minutes of first team football in the eight games he has played for the club since joining them on a season long loan in the summer.

Despite his few minutes of game time he has found the back of the net once and it came on the 10th of September when he scored in their 1-1 draw against Groningen.

”He will play games this season for us, but we have to be patient with him as he is still learning our ways and how we want to play especially the defensive side”, the coach explained.

” It’s clear to see that he has the talent and our job is to make sure he applies it correctly in games and that won’t come over night. He will come good for us very soon,” Steijn said.
