Ola Aina ends Blackburn Rovers unbeaten run

By Daily Sports on January 7, 2018

Nigeria international Ola Aina on Saturday ended Blackburn Rovers 18-match unbeaten run when he scored Hull’s only goal in an Emirates FA Cup third round clash at Ewood Park.

The goal made it his maiden professional goal in Hull City's 1-0 win vs Blackburn Rovers on Saturday evening.

In his 31st game as a professional, Aina netted the game winner in the 58th minute as the Tigers secured a spot in the fourth round.

After a goalless first half, the Chelsea loanee headed home Jon Toral's corner at the back post and ended Blackburn Rovers's 18-match unbeaten run in the process.

Ola Aina started in his preferred right-back position against Rovers while Fikayo Tomori operated as a central defender.

The former England U19 skipper had been deployed as a left-back in eight of his last nine matches in the EFL Championship.

Aina spent 2,417 minutes on the pitch before netting his maiden goal as a professional.
